Hi there and welcome to the Year 6 page.

Here you will find everything you need to know to help you navigate Year 6 and all things going on.

We have many things to look forward to this term, including Conwy residential and our Year 6 productions!

As you probably know, SATs are but a few weeks away. See the timetable below for exact dates:

In Year 6, we are not worrying about SATs too much; all we can do is our best and try our hardest. If you would like to help support your child in this, there are a few things you could do:

• Make sure your child is reading every day. Ideally for 20-30 minutes. The reading paper requires a lot of stamina and there is really no substitute for lots of reading
• support your child with their revision books. Each child has been given a reading, a SPAG (grammar and spelling) and a maths SATs revision guide. Each week we will be assigning a certain number of pages to study. If your child is happy to be independent with their study, brilliant - but you may want to go through answers together
• See the homework section at the bottom of this Year 6 page to find out exactly which pages should be studied in which books.

This half-term, Year 6 homework revolves around our SAT revision books. Below you will find the page numbers of each book that we are revising. Please can these books be brought into school every week so we can mark them together and show the children which pages we want them to revise next. Please note that all spellings will appear as separate downloads at the bottom of this page. There is also the Year 5/6 spelling list to refer to of words that children are expected to spell correctly in their writing.
